Dr. Tiffany Munzer
REACH OUT AND READ MICHIGAN MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Munzer is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician and digital media researcher at the University of Michigan. Her groundbreaking research has shown that print book reading strengthens parent-child bonds and fosters meaningful interactions—a mission that aligns perfectly with our work at Reach Out and Read. Here’s what Dr. Munzer had to say:
“Children deserve joyful, connected experiences to learn, grow, and develop. Reach Out and Read delivers on evidence-based opportunities for children and families to create moments that matter through shared book reading. Together, we can build a brighter, better future for our youngest and most impressionable minds.”
In addition to her impressive credentials, Dr. Munzer is a mom of two who understands firsthand the joys and challenges of parenthood. Her favorite children’s book? The timeless classic, Corduroy.
We are so grateful to have Dr. Munzer on board as we expand our program’s reach and deepen its impact across Michigan. Her expertise and passion will play a pivotal role in our mission to ensure that all children have access to the tools and connections they need to thrive.
